President-elect Joe Biden campaigned on a promise to return to normalcy. At the start of his campaign, he proposed that the US return to the Iran nuclear deal, an agreement which President Donald Trump withdrew the US from in 2018. What complications will the US face in returning to the agreement? Doug Becker speaks with four experts about a possible return to the agreement under Biden.

Ervand Abrahamian is a Distinguished Professor at City University of New York. He is an expert in Iran and is the author of A History of Modern Iran.

Nader Hashemi is an Associate Professor at the University of Denver, Colorado. He is an expert in Middle East politics and is the author of Islam, Secularism, and Liberal Democracy: Toward a Democratic Theory for Muslim Societies.

Wayne Glass is a Professor Emeritus in International Relations at the University of Southern California. He is an expert in National Security and Foreign Policy.

Joseph Cirincione is the Director for Non-Proliferation at the Carnegie Institute. He is the co-author of Deadly Arsenals: Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Threats.
