Following the death of George Floyd in police custody, calls are growing for people to do the work to truly understand the history of how the United States got to this point. Lillian Hanly spoke with American history associate professor Jennifer Frost about the historical context behind racism in the United States.

Jennifer Frost is an Associate Professor in History at the University of Auckland. She is an expert on social, cultural, and political developments in the twentieth-century United States.
