What are the differences between organic and conventional farming? 🔊

A new bill surrounding organic farming in New Zealand, as well as imports and exports, is currently going through parliament. The bill outlines plans to get stricter on what is defined as organic and what is not. But what are the differences between conventional and organic farming? And what sort of regulations could come into play from a farming perspective if the bill passes? James Tapp spoke with Julian Heyes.

Julian Heyes is the head of the school of food and advanced technology at Massey University. He is an expert in postharvest biology.
