Despite more than forty years of law reform aimed at improving the experience of giving evidence for adult rape complainants, Ministry of Justice research in 2018 re-confirmed that the process remains distressing and re-traumatizing. Elisabeth McDonald has written a book Mahoney on Evidence: Act and Analysis that compiles her research into this area, and she spoke to Sherry Zhang.
Elisabeth McDonald is a Professor of Law at the University of Canterbury. She is an expert in criminal law and is the author of Mahoney on Evidence: Act & Analysis.
