Brian Fagan is Professor Emeritus of Archaeology at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He is the author of The Intimate Bond: How Animals Shaped Human History and The Great Warming: Climate Change and the Rise and Fall of Civilizations. He is an expert in archaeology.
